      The city of Brockton was incorporated in 1821 and has a total land area of 21.6 square miles. Nicknamed the "City of Champions," Brockton was home to Rocky Marciano and Marvin Hagler. Brockton has an estimated population of 94,094 and is located along Route 24 and also offers access to Routes 18, 28, and 123. Residents have access to two MBTA Commuter rail stations as well as the Brockton Area Transit (BAT) bus line. Brockton offers a mix of single, multi-family, and condominium living with a large city feel. The proximity to Boston from Brockton via rail or highway makes Brockton an affordable option for people who commute.
