Home prices in Taunton, MA - A market update, 3rd Quarter of 2012

I've heard many people say that everything changes when you have a child. Well, I'm here to confirm that it sure does! My wife and I welcomed our 1st child on November 2, 2012. We had a beautiful baby girl and things have certainly changed in my world from a time standpoint! I've had to learn to balance my time both personally and professionally and prioritize to insure that I get my most pressing tasks accomplished first and foremost. With that being said, my home prices in Taunton, MA market update that was due on November 1, 2012 found its way onto the back burner and now I sit in my office 9+ months later feverishly working on catching up on all of my market updates! I'm all caught up now and am happy to report that after a decrease from the 3rd to 4th quarter of 2012 there have been increases in the average sale prices for single family homes over the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2013! This data can be seen in these posted updates. In my opinion, these increases are due in part to the spring market which is historically strong as well as the incredible interest rates that so many buyers were able to take advantage of. At the time of this post however, interest rates have climbed and we're approaching the end of summer so it'll be interesting to see how the market responds...
